This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website (www.salefisher.co.uk), why we collect it, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect only what you type into the contact form, we use it only to reply to you, and we don't run analytics or advertising trackers on this site.
Who we are
This website and the SaleFisher multi-channel selling platform are operated by SaleFisher Limited ("we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17404807, with its registered office at 1 Fernheath Way, Dartford, England, DA2 7PE. What we collect, and why
The contact form
When you send us an enquiry we receive the details you enter: your name, your email address, your business name if you give one, and your message. We also record the IP address the enquiry came from — we use it solely to limit automated abuse of the form (a cap on enquiries per hour per address).
We use these details for one thing: to read your enquiry and reply to it. Your enquiry is delivered to us as an email. We do not add you to any mailing list, and we will not send you marketing unless you later ask for it. Our lawful basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries you choose to send us.
Server logs
Like almost every website, our hosting platform keeps short-lived technical logs of requests (such as IP address, browser type, and the page requested). We use these only to keep the site running and to diagnose problems, on the lawful basis of our legitimate interest in operating the site securely.
What we don't collect
This site has no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels, and no social media widgets. We don't profile visitors and we don't sell or share personal information for marketing. See our cookie policy for the (very short) story on cookies.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run this site:
- Hosting — the site runs on Microsoft Azure, which processes requests (including IP addresses) on our behalf.
- Email delivery — contact-form enquiries are delivered to us through our email delivery provider.
- Fonts — the site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser requests font files from Google's servers; that request includes your IP address. Google states it does not use these requests to set cookies or track visitors.
These providers act on our instructions and cannot use your information for their own purposes. We do not sell personal information to anyone.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails for as long as we need them to handle your enquiry and any follow-up conversation, then delete them in the normal course of managing our mailbox. The rate-limiting record of your IP address expires automatically within an hour. Hosting logs are retained briefly by the platform and then discarded.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict our processing of it, and to data portability where it applies. To exercise any of these, contact us through the contact form.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.
The SaleFisher application
This policy covers this marketing website only. The SaleFisher application that our customers sign in to processes data — including their customers' order data — with SaleFisher acting as data processor, as described in our data policy and the agreement between us and each customer.
Changes to this policy
If we change how this website handles personal information, we'll update this page and its "last updated" date. Significant changes will be flagged on the page itself.
